Odasper

Pilot program · looking for the first industrial sites

Make your site use energy intelligently.

A lightweight, non-intrusive box plugs into your existing PLCs, SCADA and meters, whatever the brand. Odasper reads the process and energy data, understands it with AI, and controls the right loads within your production constraints. Less consumption, cheaper electricity, same output.

How it works
  • Non-intrusive box, any PLC brand
  • Deployed in days, no production stop
  • The operator keeps the hand at all times

One flexible load. One day. One site.

Flexible load · cold storage · 3 h

  • Electricity price
  • Fixed load
  • Production window · 08:00–22:00

Illustrative 24-hour day. The figure is computed on this synthetic curve, not measured on a customer site.

01/The problem

The bill went up. The visibility did not.

Electricity has become one of the largest costs on an industrial site, and one of the hardest to see. Most sites still have one meter at the gate, a mixed fleet of PLCs that do not talk to each other, and tools that stop at a chart.

  • A bill that has exploded

Electricity went from a line item to a cost that moves the margin. Contract terms, power peaks and volatile prices now decide a large part of it.

  • No visibility, load by load

One meter for the whole site. Which compressor, which furnace, which cold room costs what, and when, is a guess.

  • A heterogeneous, ageing fleet

PLCs of several brands and generations, meters nobody reads, a BMS nobody touches. Every integration project starts from scratch.

  • Tools that stop at the dashboard

Monitoring shows the problem and leaves the action to someone whose day is already full. Nothing changes on the machines.

The savings are there, in the hours, the peaks and the loads that could move. Capturing them takes control, not another chart.

02/How it works

Capture, understand, control, monetize.

One box on your existing equipment. An AI layer that understands the site. Setpoints that go back to the machines, inside the limits you set.

Where Odasper sits

Diagram. On the left, the industrial site as it is: PLCs of different brands, energy meters and the building management system. In the centre, the Odasper box and its AI layer, which also receive external signals: electricity prices, weather and the production schedule. On the right, what comes out: control setpoints, an operator dashboard and access to energy markets. The setpoints loop back to the equipment, forming a closed loop under production constraints.

Your site, as it is

  • PLC, brand A
  • PLC, brand B
  • Energy meters
  • BMS / SCADA

External signals

  • Electricity prices
  • Weather
  • Production schedule

Odasper box

Captures process and energy data over the protocols already in place.

AI layer

Understands the site and decides, within your constraints.

What comes out

  • Control setpoints
  • Operator dashboard
  • Energy markets

Setpoints go back to the equipment. Closed loop, production constraints first, operator in control.

  1. 01

    Capture

A lightweight box connects to your PLCs, SCADA, BMS and meters over the protocols already in place, whatever the brand or age. No production stop, nothing replaced. It reads process and energy data, machine by machine.

  2. 02

    Understand

AI reads your point lists, documentation and the structure of the installation to map the site in days, not months. It learns how each load behaves, what it costs, and how much room it has to move.

  3. 03

    Control

Odasper sends setpoints back to the equipment: shift consumption, modulate cold, furnaces or compressed air, cap power peaks. Production constraints come first. The operator keeps the hand and can take over at any time.

  4. 04

    Monetize

Your site consumes less and buys its electricity on the cheaper hours. Then its flexibility is sold on the energy markets, and that revenue comes back to the site.

Safety first. Every action runs inside guardrails you set: pressure bands, temperature ranges, production schedule. Manual fallback is always available, and the setup is built to fit industrial cybersecurity requirements.

03/Why Odasper

Built for the plant you have, not the one in the brochure.

Most energy tools assume a clean, single-brand installation and a team with time to spare. Odasper assumes the opposite.

  • Neutral and multi-brand

Works on the mixed fleet you already have: PLCs of several brands and generations, old meters, a BMS from another era. Nothing to replace.

  • Days, not months

AI reads point lists, documentation and the structure of the installation, so integration takes days where a classic project takes months.

  • We act, we do not just show

Closed-loop control, not another dashboard. Setpoints go back to the equipment and the savings show up on the bill.

  • Safety first

Guardrails on every load. Production constraints come first. The operator keeps the hand at all times, with manual fallback. Built to fit industrial cybersecurity requirements.

  • Paid on savings

Our fee is tied to the savings actually achieved, measured against your baseline. Our interest and yours are the same.

  • Data hosted in France

Your process and energy data stays on servers in France.

04/Use cases

Four levers most sites already have.

Compressed air, cold, heat and power peaks. Each one has slack that can be used without touching product quality or throughput.

  • Modulate

    Compressed air

Compressors are often among the largest electricity loads on a site and rarely run at their optimum. Odasper manages the pressure band within tolerance, sequences compressors and uses the storage volume to ride through the expensive hours.

    • Pressure band managed within process tolerance
    • Compressor sequencing and load sharing
    • Storage volume used as a buffer against peaks
  • Shift

    Industrial cold

Cold rooms and chillers are thermal batteries. Pre-cool on the cheap hours, coast through the expensive ones, always inside the temperature limits of the product.

    • Pre-cooling on cheap hours
    • Setpoint modulation within product temperature limits
    • Defrost and chiller cycles rescheduled
  • Modulate

    Furnaces and thermal processes

Furnaces, dryers, ovens and boilers carry inertia. Odasper modulates power and sequences batches onto the cheaper hours without touching the thermal profile the product requires.

    • Preheating moved to cheap hours
    • Power modulation inside the thermal profile
    • Batch sequencing against the production schedule
  • Shave

    Power peak shaving

Contracted power and the peaks you hit set a large part of the bill. Odasper sees peaks coming and staggers loads so the site stays under the threshold.

    • Site power forecast, minutes ahead
    • Staggered starts and brief load reductions
    • Contracted power sized to what the site actually needs

Every lever runs inside the limits you set. Odasper never trades product quality or throughput for a cheaper hour. Savings depend on the site; we frame them as targets, not promises.

05/Why now

Three things changed.

Controlling industrial loads against electricity prices is not a new idea. What is new is that it now pays off on a mid-size site.

  1. Electricity prices have become volatile

Day-ahead prices move hour by hour, are now set in 15-minute steps, and go negative on windy, sunny days. A person in front of a screen cannot follow that. Automatic control can, and that is where the value is.

  2. AI makes mid-size sites economical to connect

Integration used to mean months of manual mapping, which priced out most mid-size sites. AI now reads point lists, documentation and the structure of an installation, so the same work takes days.

  3. The grid needs flexibility

Renewables make supply variable. The grid needs consumption that can move, and it pays for it. Controllable industrial load is becoming an asset.

One week of day-ahead prices

Hourly, illustrative

A typical pattern: cheap nights, cheaper sunny middays, expensive morning and evening ramps, and a few negative hours on a windy weekend. Synthetic data, not a real market.

06/Vision

From one site to a network of flexible sites.

We start with one site, measured and understood. We end with industrial consumption that is an asset for the grid and a revenue for the plant.

  1. Starting point

    Measure and understand

Every site, metered and understood, load by load.

    • Box installed on existing PLCs, meters and BMS, no production stop
    • Consumption and process data per equipment, in one place
    • AI maps the site from point lists and documentation, in days
    • Baseline and savings potential per load
  2. Next

    Control in closed loop

Setpoints back to the equipment, inside production constraints.

    • Load shifting, modulation of cold, furnaces and compressed air, peak shaving
    • Guardrails, operator override and manual fallback at any time
    • Savings measured against the baseline
  3. Later

    Aggregate and sell flexibility

The flexibility of many sites, pooled and sold on the energy markets.

    • Flexibility of many sites aggregated
    • Sold on energy markets and grid-services schemes
    • Revenue shared with each site
  4. Later

    The complete energy partner

One partner for the energy of the site.

    • Supply, flexibility, storage and on-site generation decided together
    • Each plant an actor of the energy transition

The point of all this: make French industry more competitive, and turn every factory into an actor of the energy transition.
